Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise using GuardRail ("the App", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Who Can Use GuardRail
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
3. The GuardRail Vibe
GuardRail is a positivity-first community. Posts ("Guards") and comments are reviewed by an automated content guardrail before publishing, and anything that amounts to hate speech, harassment, threats, explicit content, or persistently divisive content may be rejected or removed. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly attempt to circumvent this standard.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant GuardRail a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within the App so that other users can see it.
5. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, at our discretion.
6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
GuardRail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GuardRail is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address, username, display name, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never store your raw password).
- Content: the Guards, comments, likes, and follows you create.
- Usage data: basic technical data such as request timestamps, used for security and rate-limiting.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To operate your account and display your content to other users as intended.
- To run posts and comments through our automated positivity guardrail before publishing.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the service (e.g. rate limiting, abuse prevention).
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile and posts are visible to other GuardRail users by design. Post content is sent to our third-party AI moderation provider solely to evaluate whether it meets our community standards.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and content are removed within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
5. Your Rights
You can access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from within the App. You may also contact us to request a copy of your data or its deletion.
